Formed in 1994 in Milwaukee, WI by Mark Friday and Clay Infault,
Friday Dies first self-titled CD is a blend of hard rock and thrash, with a twist of what they like to call "blues classical."
Their upcoming 2nd CD is sounding a little more groovy. What a lot of people are calling Progressive, often fail to see where it progressed from, and to what. Which is why they prefer "hybrid metal" as a better way to describe their 2nd release. The music is really is a blend of what they call metal, and everything else that is music. With the addition of Ryan Lundgren on vocals, it brings a wide range and color into their sound.
Influences
Dio, Black Sabbath, Zepplin, Slayer, Eminem, and Beethoven. But also all the things that keep dreams alive; like the baby that was so crushed by it's mother during birth, it's heartbeat dropped below 30 for over 5 minutes... yet it struggled to live. Or the three-legged fox that continues to elude traps and poison, and refuses to leave it's home.
Friday Dies is ultimately about dreaming the dream, and living the life. Dreams don't always come true, but the journey keep us alive.
